Is the donation tax-deductable?
The business is registered as a private company, as the goal is to build a sustainable business that serves the Catholic community, therefore the donation will not be tax-deductable. Your donation will help the project to reach self-sustainability faster while keeping the service affordable for users worldwide, especially in developing countries.

Coming from a less-fortunate background myself, my life was once changed by organizations that gave me a once-in-a-lifetime experiences like visiting the USA, something I once thought I would never be able to afford. I aspire to pay it forward by building CatholicNetworker into an organization that can do the same for other less-fortunate Catholics around the world.

Why do you need donations if users pay subscriptions?
The subscription revenue covers basic operating costs like hosting services and maintenance, but scaling requires significant investment in infrastructure and marketing. One $500 ad campaign brought 1,000 new users – imagine what strategic marketing could do.

Can the app be used for free?
Yes, of course. Users only pay if they want premium features.

Why not get venture capital funding?
VC funding would pressure the project to maximize profits over mission. I have discerned that it is better to grow sustainably with support from fellow Catholics who understand that some users (seminarians, missionaries, students) may never be paying users but deserve access to the community.

About me

In my free time, I curate Catholic counter-reformation art from the Baroque period. I recently made an art meditation on the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary with a painting for each decade. It is available on Youtube.
